Joe Morgan, please go away

I hate Joe Morgan. He is an idiot who makes the games worse than better. Click here for the following article in today's NY Post on it, pretty funny.

Girardi goes nuts

I was watching the game last night, great game, and loved it when Girardi went nuts. He's kind of a reserved guy and sometimes could show a little more fire, so good to kick his hat around. On the hat kicking, Jeter said "It was funny. I enjoyed it. I was hoping he would kick it all the way to the dugout like Piniella.”

Good two wins and more importantly, Ian Kennedy had a good game, which was needed to build his confidence. I am starting to realize this is a rebuilding year, and can't sit back sipping a margarita with the confidence all will be ok come October. For the first time in 10 or so years, things might not be OK come October. They just might not.

The Process Has Started...

I was watching the post game interview with Girardi on YES while in NY, and Joe was asked about Joba pitching two innings. His reply was "the process has started...".

So it begins, Chamberlain's move the starting rotation. About time, although the set up job will be tough to fill, but a lights out starting pitcher beats a lights out reliever every time. Assuming he will be lights out as a starter that is. Honstely though, with Mo closing games, would you rather have a guy like Joba pitching one inning every other day, a few times in a row maybe, or would you rather have him start every 5th. Yep, me too.

Anyway, it was a nice win but still doesn't fix the problem. Kind of like me going for run after work and then opening up a beer when I get home. Tonight's win felt good for a while, but there is a long list of issues that don't look like they will be fixed anytime soon.

Still hate the Sox though, that makes me feel good.

Witnesses say Red Sox-Yankees spat preceded N.H. killing

My friend Rich sent me an email about this thing, then when I got off my flight and checked the web, I saw the article online at Newsday and NY Daily News. Ugh. Once again a red sox fan pushed things too far (I am TOTALLY JOKING). Seriously, it is sick that anyone would get so pissed and drive into a person drunk or not, about ANY topic. Religion, politics, sports, feuding neighbors, whatever it is, should never resort to this nonsense. This could have been a drunk Red Sox fan or drunk Pirates fan, they come in all shapes. It's just unfortunate that instead of a black eye like barry it resulted in a tragedy.
