I was watching the post game interview with Girardi on YES while in NY, and Joe was asked about Joba pitching two innings. His reply was "the process has started...".
So it begins, Chamberlain's move the starting rotation. About time, although the set up job will be tough to fill, but a lights out starting pitcher beats a lights out reliever every time. Assuming he will be lights out as a starter that is. Honstely though, with Mo closing games, would you rather have a guy like Joba pitching one inning every other day, a few times in a row maybe, or would you rather have him start every 5th. Yep, me too.
Anyway, it was a nice win but still doesn't fix the problem. Kind of like me going for run after work and then opening up a beer when I get home. Tonight's win felt good for a while, but there is a long list of issues that don't look like they will be fixed anytime soon.
Still hate the Sox though, that makes me feel good.
