Yesterday I was in NJ in the general area that the fictional mafia family, the Sopranos, live, which is Caldwells. I think they live in North Caldwell. To get from that area of NJ to Newark or NY City, you generally go on 280.

So yesterday I was driving back to Newark airport in my Hertz rental car, a Taurus, and when I came around a bend I noticed a bunch of red tail lights starting to pop up. Usually this means a traffic stop or slow down. So I looked up far ahead and saw something strange. I saw a police car in the far left lane with its lights on, moving about 30 miles an hour, a car in front of the cop, a truck, and another police car in front of the procession. I also noticed a very bright large light on. Like a spot light, although it was only 4 in the afternoon.

"What the heck is that." I thought.

So as I got closer I noticed a very nice SUV mounted to the back of the truck, with the lights shining into the truck. The cops were keeping the slow moving truck/suv thing from getting hit. I think there was also another smaller car behind the SUV. I also noticed two guys in the back of the truck, harnesses on, with large cameras. So as I passed the truck I looked over and finally realized they were shooting something, like for a movie or TV show.

As I almost missed my turn-off to stay on 280, I looked over and in the passenger seat, big head of yellow hair, distinctive nose, nicely dressed, was Edie Falco, also known as Carmela Sopranos, the wife of Anthony Sopranos, mob boss of NJ. They were filming a scene for the TV show.

I looked over at the drivers seat and noticed a woman with her head looking down, like she was reading something in her lap. I'm not sure if it was Meadow Soprano or a crew member.

I didn't have time to get my cell phone camera out to take a picture so no proof. But if I see a scene in the upcoming season with Carmela as a passenger in her nice Porche SUV, I am going to look for a blue Taurus with a handsome man sharply dressed driving by looking over.
