Old photographs

Last fall my grandmother passed away. My mother and her two siblings, Janet and Bob, both of Ohio, had to go through the unfortunate task of deciding what to do with her possessions. One thing that my grandmother had a lot of was photographs and pictures. While I was at my grandmothers house my sisters and I went through the pictures, some dating back to the turn of the century, some dating back to a couple of months before her death. In the process I ended up destroying hours of work my aunt Janet did in sorting out the pictures. Honest mistake, I swear.

So my mother and Janet divided up the pictures and I was able to get some. For some reason I love old pictures. When I go to garage sales or antique stores, I always look for old pictures. As I go back in time decade by decade, I think the older they get the more interesting they are. So I was pretty thrilled to get some of the pictures.

I ended up scanning the pictures and finally got around to putting some of them online. Click here or cut and paste the link below to take a look. Keep in mind that these pictures are of family members, no one famous, and are otherwise not real exciting. But to me and my family, they are priceless.
