Another AL East Title
5 months, 3 weeks and 5 days. That is pretty much how long the Red Sox were in first place in the American League East. Almost the entire season. But with 2 days left, the Yankees clinched first place and their 8th AL East title in a row. To all those in Red Sox Nation, sorry. Yeah, I know, it still doesn’t take away last year’s pennant or World Series title. But it shut the mouth of every single person in Red Sox Nation who blasted the Yankees all year. Good one Red Sox fans. Nice year. Nice job. No doubt you will win the wild card and who knows, maybe go on and win another World Series, but nice job during the regular season.
