Red Sox Stink 2007

Holy crap that was bad. The Yankee fan in me is saying this

"Settle down Loser Nation, its only April. We had two minor league pitchers going and we still kept it pretty close. " but the realist in me is a little concerned. I questioned some of Torre's moves, am worried about middle relief and can't wait to get the full rotation back. But things will be fine. Offense is great, getting Wang back this week. I've watched the Yanks and Sox very closely now for about 10 years since I moved to Boston, and one thing NOT to do is panic in April. When September comes around, I am sure things will be different than they are now. But still, that was one painful freakin weekend.

I am going to the game tonight. Toronto just lost three in a row to Baltimore and the Sox just won three in a row against the Yanks. Hopefully the tide will turn tonight and Loser Nation will have something to complain about tomorrow on D&C. All this mamby pamby good feeling hug each other crap around this cynical town is making me sick. Everybody in giddy and in the great line from Pulp Fiction, The Wolf: "Well, let's not start sucking each other's (expletive deleted) quite yet gentlemen". It's only April.

Oh, one other thing. I think it was last year, or maybe 2005, that the Yankees started out real cold and fell far behind. Then they went on like a 19 game winning streak and came right back in it. Let's just see how the year plays out.
