Year of Love for ARod
Ok, I said it. This was going to be the year of love for ARod. So maybe it will just be the Month of Love for ARod, but right now I don't give a flying frig about our pitching problems. We'll get by on what we have, we'll have to torture our bullpen which could be bad in October, as long as the guys in the line up stay healthy. Like how I say "I" as if I make some of the decisions. If the Yanks were doing bad and I had something to complain about, it would be "them" and "those" guys in the line up.
Oh good, Manny finally got his first home run. WHO CARES. I hate the Red Sox, I'll admit it. Drunk uneducated fans with tunnel vision. Clubhouse run like a fraternity. I'll admit I like the ownership because they squeeze every single dollar out of that death trap they call Fenway and force the working man to save for 12 months to take his kids to one Tuesday night game a year. Supply and demand at its best and those communists in Cambridge must hate it.
So ARod is having a good time right now. I can see it when I watch on my 14 inch laptop screen. He's laughing and Jeter is letting Arod into his circle of friends, he slimmed down, he's wearing his socks up to mid thigh like they are leggings, he got rid of the lip gloss.
I can't remember exactly when, but a couple of years ago Wakefield had a great year. Maybe it was 2005. He won a ton of games and no one could seem to figure him out. I am starting to get a sinking feeling in my stomach that this could be one of those years. Usually when it's cold and dry the knuckleball gets hit, but he is pitching great. I just hope that when the teams start to get to see him a couple of times they start to hit him. Same goes for Dice-K. First time around no one has seen him before. The hitters in this league are very very smart and start to pick up on how a pitcher throws.
So off to watch the highlights of today's win.
