Alex Rodriquez and the Yankees are apparently close to reaching a deal, 270M over 10 years. Please wake up, this is not happening this is not happening. I was all set for a new beginning without ARod, He is too much work. He's like dating a girl that is high maintenance with all of the crap with yelling I GOT IT while running to third and slapping the glove of pitchers and all that crap. And for all those who said that the Yankees can never replace his numbers...well, do you know what the Yankees did before they got ARod?? THAT'S RIGHT...they won championships. If he is so effing good then how did they win 6 pennants and 4 World Series between 1996 and 2003?

Dave, it's not like they over paid or anything. The Yankees got him at the discounted rate of $27 million per year as opposed to the previous demand of $29.167 million. That's almost a full 7.43% discount on where he started negotiating and only an 8% raise from his last unfinished contract. Relax, it will all be over in 2018 if things don't work out!
