Sox beat up on Tampa

I was out in NYC last night with some friends watching the game. The Yanks were pounding Toronto and when I saw the out of town scores, it showed the Sox down 9-2. Wonderful, I thought, we'll pick up a game. I forgot, though, how effing awful Tampa Bay is. How does a 9-2 game turn into the batting practice that the Sox had last night. With Ortiz hurt, Manny out and JD slumping, they should be losing games. BUT THEY ARE NOT. The freakin Red Sox are not playing into my plans. those bastards.

ARod for MVP despite what Mike Adams thinks.
Beckett for Cy Young, despite what I think.
Pedroia for rookie of the year despite the fact that he is 12 years old.

ahhhhh, Big Papi :-)

Magic number 12

I went to that Sox game. Took my girls. It was my 7 yr old's first game. We almost did not go because it was pouring right up until 5pm. Glad we went. After they were getting blown out 8-1 I was planning on taking them home. After all it was already after 9pm and only the 3rd inning. I told them, if the Sox don't score this inning - we are going to leave. We all know the rest of the story. If you are a Red Sox fan, it was a very fun game! My 7 yr old even managed to get a ball from the ball boy after the game was over. That made her night.
