Larry Lucchino and the Little Engine That Could
Full article here, but the basics...
Article in the USA Today the other day about Fenway getting close to being able to hold 40K people. Keep in mind, its not 40K seats, because they pack people in SRO so they can spend more money on 12 beers and 6 dollar hot dogs and go to the chiropractor for months because their backs kill them.
But I digress. So the article was about how the Red Sox ownership has to expand the park to let more of the herd in because the big bad wittle Wankees are so powerful and rich. In the paper article, it ends with this line from Lucchino (but the online article is longer)...
"So we've got to do everything we can to make this little engine that could keep up with the bullet train in the Bronx."
Ok, Larry, we GET IT!! The Yankees are the evil, the Red Sox are good. We F**KING GET IT! ENOUGH ALREADY. Stop with the rhetoric about how tough you have it and how its so f**king hard to compete against the Yankees and ALL THE F**KING MONEY THEY HAVE. WE F**KING GET IT!!
Evil Empire and little engine that could and blah blah blah blah blah blah. I am sick and f**king tired of hearing how tough it is for the Red Sox ownership to compete in this cutthroat and difficult world with such money grabbing cheats like the Yankees. Last time I checked, there were about 25 teams who would like to have it as bad as you. What do you think they say when they hear you vomit something like “So we've got to do everything we can to make this little engine that could keep up with the bullet train in the Bronx."?
I’ll tell you what they think. They think “F**K YOU LUCCHINO”. That’s what they effing think. Try being Kansas City or Texas and Pittsburgh. If you are the little engine that could, they are Thomas the f**king Tank Engine my friend.
Hey Larry, you are now on my shitlist, you grumbling whinny jerk.

There's the Dave that has been missing for so long. Cheer up Bucky, the mighty Jays swept the Little Engine and now the two trains with their mighty payrolls are at the bottom of the heap in the AL East.
hah, your post made my misery seem so much smaller in comparison.
